Reporters learned from the construction headquarters of the new airport that the site selection report of the new airport in Qingdao has been formally approved by CAAC. According to the approval, the site of the new airport is settled in Qingdao Jiaozhou. As planned the new airport will be built into the a regional hub airport and a gateway airport for Japan and South Korea, making it as a powerful new engine of regional economic growth.
